Flexible pricing strategies
Flat Rate Charge - A project can be billed as a single item with one fee that covers all tasks listed in the project
description. Client Benefit: Invoicing and budgeting are simplified. This method is convenient
when several publications will be written (i.e. newsletters).
Hourly Rate - A
project can be billed according to the number of hours that are used in producing the document. Client
Benefit: Hourly caps can control costs. Tracking project hours can help detailed budgeting.
Rate per Word - Pricing is based solely on final word count. Client
Benefit: Prices for fixed-length documents can be known in advance. Document length can be adjusted according to budget.
Task Tracking - Accurate task tracking of project hours provides a method of estimating new projects, or it can be used to
provide hard data for future estimations of similar work. Client Benefit: Realistic quotes and
fair prices.
